and Yogis Heart
When Yogis Heart approached Move Through Yoga about partnering, Move Through Yoga was absolutely ecstatic to know that our youth would have the opportunity to continue their yoga journeys after the school day/year. By the graces of generous donors, Yogis Heart provides a full year, unlimited yoga scholarship to a recipient who aspires to pursue a consistent yoga practice. Move Through Yoga wholeheartedly believes that money shouldn't determine whether someone can move through yoga. Danielle T., a third year #MoveThroughYoga #yogi at Boca Raton High School, received this scholarship in December. A heart-felt hug and thank you to the Yogis Heart team. A yogis heart has so much love to give, and your organization embodies all that selflessness and love. Namaste.
Move Through Yoga and Whole Foods Market Boca Raton
Every month Whole Foods Market Boca Raton visits Move Through Yoga at Boca Raton High School or at Atlantic High School. The purpose of the visits is to expose and educate the yogis about healthy lifestyle choices that begin with the foods consumed throughout the day. Topics vary with each lecture: breakfast alternatives; dollar friendly dinners; sweet-and-healthy treats, and what is juicing?. Students actively engage in the lectures/discussions, as well as participate in every step of the food preparation. Most recently students sampled power protein packed balls, their signature Kalelicious smoothie, and a Tempeh scramble.
Move Through Yoga and Connected Warriors
On December 14, 2014, The Miami Dolphins organization teamed up with Move Through Yoga and Connected Warriors, a non-profit yoga-based support group for Veterans, to promote yoga throughout the community at Community Yoga Day which took place at Sun Life Stadium. Seven renowned teachers from different yoga disciplines taught: Ricky Williams, former Miami Dolphin turned yoga teacher, taught a class and also addressed attendees. Miami Life Center’s Tim Feldmann, Kino Mcgregor's husband, taught an Ashtanga class. Additionally, there was a Budakon class, a yin class, an all levels vinyasa class with live music, and an ocean board class. All levels of yogis participated in this health and wellness, community yoga day. Stay tuned for pictures, and a CYD coming to your town!!
